Dare2tri

Dear Friend or Family Member,

Thanks for checking out my fundraising page. As you may know in 2015 I joined Dare2tri, an organization that supports athletes with physical disabilities and visual impairments. With the support of Dare2tri, many athletes, including myself can participate in athletic events. Dare2tri is a non-profit organization and depends upon the support of the community to promote their mission of positively impacting the live of athletes with physical disabilities and visual impairments by developing their skills in paratriathlon. It has been a great year for me, and with the support of Dare2tri I have had the opportunity to participate in 2 training camps, finished in 4th place at the ITU Continental Championships, and competed in 5 other triathlons.

This year I also had the chance to meet a young girl, Kaitlyn, at the Firecracker 3k in Steeleville, IL. I was so impressed with her competitve spirit the day I met her as we raced each other in our wheelchairs after the race. I recommended Triathlon as a sport that she may be interested in and as a result put her parents in contact with the staff at Dare2tri. Dare2tri hosted a Kids Tri Camp two weeks later and introduced her to the sport and the following month Kaitlyn completed her first Triathlon with Dare2tri at the Chicago Triathlon! By providing the access, resources, and community Dare2tri has had a positive influence on my life and countless others. Please make a donation if you can, so that Dare2tri can continue to impact other athletes like Kaitlyn and myself. No donation is too small and it will be used to provide training, coaching, equipment and a supporting community of disabled athletes.
